Ultraviolet absorber UV-1164 anvendes som lysstabilisator, velegnet til polyoxymethylen, polyamid, polycarbonat, polyethylen, polyetheramin, ABS-harpiks og polymethylmethacrylat osv. Den er især velegnet til nylon og ingeniørplast. Anbefalet dosering: polyethylen 0,2-0,4%; polycarbonat 0,15-0,3%; ABS-harpiks 0,3-0,5%.
